Syarat dan Tips Mendapatkan Approval/Persetujuan Google Adsense (full 2000 kata)

Google Adsense adalah jaringan iklan terbesar milik Google yang saya yakin dan sangat pasti semua sobat Blogger telah mengetahuinya. Bahkan, beberapa di antara sobat sedang menikmati menjadi anggota publisher Adsense dan rutin menerima pembayaran. Sebagian lainnya mungkin masih gigit jari karena ditolak ketika melamar menjadi publisher; atau mungkin ada yang belum berani mendaftar Adsense. Jadi saya pikir tidak perlu lagi membahas apa itu Google Adsense. :) Intinya, Google Adsense adalah jaringan iklan paling digandrungi para blogger, webmaster, online marketer, pebisnis online, dan semua kalangan internet karena pay rate yang jauh lebih tinggi, iklan yang berkualitas dan variatif, memiliki jaringan advertiser dan publisher dari seluruh penjuru dunia, dan cara pembayarannya yang gampang (WU, non paypal payment).

Sudah agak lama, kira-kira 2 bulan yang lalu ada sobat Blogger yang request mengenai proses dan tips pendaftaran Google Adsense yang tepat (baca: bisa mendapatkan approval/persetujuan dengan mudah). Terus terang saya agak bingung juga jika harus berbicara mengenai apa saja yang menjadi syarat disetujuinya permohonan menjadi publisher Google Adsense, sebab dari beberapa kasus atau proses pendaftaran Adsense yang saya alami, masing-masing memiliki spesifikasi, lama persetujuan, dan jenis web yang berbeda. Jadi, sebenarnya tidak ada patokan pendaftaran Google Adsense yang super mapan untuk diikuti.

Sebagai contoh nih, terakhir saya baru saja mendaftarkan Adsense untuk adik saya, hari pertama buat akun Gmail, G+, dan langsung daftar Adsense. Hari pertama pula langsung dapat persetujuan tahap pertama. Kemudian hari kedua langsung disetujui seutuhnya. Tidak percaya? Ini buktinya:

Dimana kuncinya? Saya menggunakan website/blog yang sudah mapan. Apa yang dimaksud dengan mapan? Berusia lama? Punya traffic tinggi? Atau bla bla bla bla bla? Jawabannya: Tidak, belum tentu.

Bagaimana sebenarnya cara yang tepat? Nah, semua dari kita pasti akhirnya setuju bahwa persetujuan akun Adsense dititikberatkan pada website yang digunakan atau diajukan untuk mendaftar. Jadi, nanti kita akan beri porsi besar pembicaraan ini pada website/blog yang sesuai dengan kriteria Google Adsense. 

Detil Akun Pendaftar Adsense

Detail akun pendaftar Google (gmail) yang anda gunakan harus asli dan lengkap, tidak harus anda, tapi benar-benar harus ada (bukan palsu), berusia 18 tahun ke atas, dan menggunakan alamat jelas seperti yang tertulis pada KTP.

Pernah saya mendapatkan keluhan dari seorang blogger yang selalu saja ditolak oleh Adsense. Setelah diselidiki, ternyata dia baru berusia 16 tahun setengah. Ini terdeteksi dengan jelas ketika anda mendaftar dengan Gmail dan mencantumkan tanggal lahir, semua akun Google menggunakan sumber yang sama. Sungguh perkara sepele, tapi "dadi gawe". Dan semua akun yang ditolak tidak pernah dijelaskan dengan baik oleh Google. Selalu saja alasannya adalah "jenis halaman". Mungkin ini yang buat bingung. 

Nama dan alamat lengkap serta jelas nantinya akan memuluskan pencairan uang jika akun disetujui dan sudah layak mendapatkan bayaran. Emang bangga punya akun Adsense tapi ga bisa ambil bayaran? Perbedaan alamat sedikit memang tidak masalah, tapi alangkah baiknya jika semua harus dipersiapkan dengan matang dan teliti bukan?

Syarat dan Kondisi Website/Blog Pada Pendaftaran Adsense

1. Kebijakan Google Adsense pada Konten Web Penerbit

Ini adalah poin umum berkaitan dengan persyaratan konten web yang wajib anda ketahui sebelum mendaftar Adsense, sebab jika anda mendaftarkan web/blog yang melanggar kebijakan Google pada umumnya dan Google Adsense pada khususnya, berapa kali pun, saya jamin tidak akan bisa diterima. Cek apakah blog/web anda memenuhi persyaratan berikut:

• Situs tidak mengandung konten pornografi dan konten dewasa lainnya.
• Situs tidak mengandung konten kekerasan, rasisme, atau anjuran untuk melakukan tindakan provokatif atau ofensif terhadap individu, kelompok, atau organisasi lain.
• Situs tidak mengandung konten hacking/cracking
• Situs tidak mengandung konten atau melakukan penjualan/transaksi obat-obatan terlarang, minuman keras, rokok dan hal terkait, senjata dan amunisi, replika produk pada brand tertentu, jual beli karya ilmiah berhak cipta (skripsi, jurnal, makalah, dll)
• Situs tidak mengandung ajakan dan memberikan pengunjung komisi untuk klik iklan, surfing, membaca email, survey, pencarian, dll (PTC dan PTS)
• Situs tidak mengandung konten lain yang ilegal, mempromosikan aktivitas ilegal, dan melanggar hak cipta orang/pihak lain.
• Bukan situs doorway, AGC, autoblog, MFA (made for Adsense), dan sejenisnya.

Berkaitan dengan konten ilegal, sudah jelas juga bukan? Maksudnya adalah situs tidak boleh menyajikan konten yang melanggar hak cipta, misalnya: membagi software/file bajakan dan mengandung konten hasil copas. Lihat kebijakan Google pada halaman DMCA policy.

Untuk konten gambling/perjudian, hanya diijinkan pada negara-negara tertentu, Indonesia tidak. Mengenai bahasa, sudah jelas Google sekarang telah mengizinkan situs berbahasa Indonesia.

2. Elemen dan Kelengkapan Web/Blog

Jenis halaman adalah hal yang paling sering ditemui sebagai sebab penolakan pengajuan akun Google Adsense. Meskipun ini tampak kabur, dan kadang salah diartikan karena memang tidak memiliki kejelasan kecuali anda benar-benar cek dan mempelajari halaman kebijakan Google Adsense. Berdasarkan beberapa pengalaman mendaftarkan Google Adsense, jenis halaman menurut saya lebih terkait pada struktur web/blog. 

• Memiliki navigasi yang jelas dan mudah digunakan oleh pengunjung. Buat dan desain menu/navigasi yang mudah dilihat, tidak membingungkan pengunjung, langsung mengarahkan pengunjung pada halaman tujuan (tidak menggunakan redirect). Oya, navigasi ini juga termasuk link di dalam konten loh. Lalu pastikan web/blog tidak mengarahkan (linking) ke situs berbahaya, termasuk konten yang mengandung dan merujukkan malware, pop up, pop under, redirect, dll yang merusak fungsi navigasi sebenarnya.
• Elemen web yang paling penting dan menjadi tolok ukur kelengkapan web adalah halaman privacy policy; dimana anda menjelaskan kebijakan penggunaan informasi pengunjung melalui cookies (oleh Adsense, web anda (jika ada), maupun jaringan iklan lain), halaman contact; dimana pengunjung bisa menghubungi anda, dan halaman about dimana pengunjung bisa mengetahui garis besar konten atau layanan web. Pastikan semua ada. Untuk privacy policy, anda bisa membuatnya gratis dengan berbagai privacy policy generator. Saran saya, tambahkan satu lagi, disclaimer, yang merupakan halaman pernyataan hak cipta konten dan kebijakan penggunaan konten yang diijikan untuk pengunjung. Ini untuk meyakinkan bahwa konten yang ada benar-benar milik web (anda).

Dua poin di atas (1 dan 2) adalah poin pokok yang harus ada. Ada hal-hal lain yang perlu diperhatikan dan dapat memuluskan pendaftaran akun adsense. Ini sifatnya dari pengalaman saja, tidak tercantum atau dibahas secara resmi, dan moga-moga bisa digunakan dan membantu.

a. Desain

Tidak ada panduan khusus untuk ini. Tapi secara logika, sebuah website harus memiliki profesionalisme. Salah satunya dalam hal desain. Saya tidak mengatakan desain harus wah, menonjol dan kuat. Tapi desain yang profesional adalah desain yang memperhatikan user experience, kenyamanan pengunjung. Misalnya, usahakan hindari: widget yang acakadut, widget tempel sana sini gak karuan, font yang tidak terbaca dengan jelas, konten tidak nyaman dibaca, logo yang asal-asalan pasang, navigasi yang sulit dicari, tidak bisa dibedakan mana konten mana widget, dan seterusnya. Upayakan konten bisa dibaca dengan baik, jelas, navigasi mudah ditemukan, gunakan desain/template yang plain (jelas), tidak menggunakan efek berlebihan (kursor yang aneh-aneh, berat, widget-widget beterbangan kesana-kemari, musik/lagu, dll), pop out berlebihan, dll.

b. Konten dan Niche

• Konten harus original/asli bukan copas, bermanfaat, menghibur, intinya memang disuguhkan untuk pembaca, dan bukan untuk menayangkan iklan saja, tidak mengandung konten bajakan, download bajakan, menuju atau mengarahkan pada situs yang dilarang oleh adsense, seperti yang sudah dijelaskan di atas.
• Hindari konten-konten yang hanya berbicara mengenai uang, uang, dan uang saja (bisnis online minded).
• Hindari konten yang berisi tentang dan bertujuan hanya untuk afiliasi (affiliate marketing, amazon, clickbank, neobux, dll). 
• Jangan pernah secara terang-terangan, hanya membahas, dan hanya membicarakan tentang "blogging for money" atau hanya ngeblog demi uang. Tips tentang adsense atau bisnis online boleh-boleh saja,  sesekali, tapi jangan seluruh konten diisi tentang make money online, bagaimana anda berhasil bisnis online, keluhan bisnis online, hari ini anda dapat uang berapa, dll. Intinya jangan sampai menyatakan bahwa tujuan anda hanyalah untuk bisnis online semata dan tidak tertarik untuk hal lain, misalnya menyuguhkan konten bermanfaat untuk pengunjung.
• Ada banyak niche untuk Adsense; tapi maksud saya tentang niche adalah, blog anda harus fokus pada topik tertentu, jangan campuraduk antara curhat hari ini, berita hari ini, tiba-tiba kemudian berbicara tentang kesehatan, di lain waktu isinya tentang lirik lagu, di lain waktu lagi bicara tentang kontes seo, dll. Fokuskan topik blog, ini adalah ciri blog profesional. Niche di sini bukan tentang memburu niche Adsense kemudian copas sana sini, tapi fokuslah pada topik yang disukai untuk ditulis. Menjadi generalis bukan ide yang baik untuk menjadi publisher Adsense, sebab blog campuraduk tidak akan disetujui. Simak niche-niche Adsense khususnya di Indonesia yang diantaranya mungkin anda kuasai dan gemari untuk ditulis.
• Jangan pernah daftarkan blog berisi artikel-artikel kontes SEO, jika ketahuan langsung ditolak. Jika diterima, dan kemudian beberapa waktu pasti ketahuan, akhirnya akun langsung kena banned, bukan hanya blognya, tapi akunnya sekaligus.
• Jika konten blog tentang review, pastikan review itu berbobot, bukan sekedar comot. Konten review disukai Adsense, tapi juga paling sulit untuk disetujui (karena kualitas review sangat diperhatikan).
• Saat hendak mendaftarkan pastikan blog memiliki iklan yang minim atau bahkan usahakan tidak ada sama sekali. Kalopun ada, cukuplah satu dua, dan bukan iklan yang "bikin deg-degan" alias seperti di sidebar kanan tengah saya sekarang ini. Hehehe. Meskipun beberapa jaringan iklan lain diperbolehkan (chitika, kontera, TLA, dll) tapi sebaiknya pada saat mendaftarkan diturunkan, apalagi jika menggunakan jaringan iklan dari Indonesia. :) Usahakan situs "bersih" ketika didaftarkan.
• Jangan terpengaruh dengan tips yang bilang 5 post aja, atau 10 post aja bisa di-approve. Menurut saya itu tidak benar dan tidak ada. Motivasinya adalah untuk menyajikan konten, bukan Adsense. Hindari motto "Buat Blog untuk Adsense, tapi gunakan motto " Buat Adsense untuk Blog".

c. Traffic dan Sumber Traffic

Ada yang pernah bilang traffic tinggi berpengaruh dan menjadi salah satu alasan penerimaan akun Adsense. Saya tidak setuju, sebab jumlah/kuantitas traffic tidak menjadi acuan Adsense. yang diperhatikan dan disyaratkan adalah kualitas traffic. Titik berat Adsense justru di situ. 

Kualitas traffic menentukan kualitas pengunjung (targeted visitors). Jika mayoritas traffic didapat secara organik, maka kualitasnya tinggi. Jika mayoritas traffic didapat dari sumber-sumber nonorganik, maka kualitasnya rendah. Tentu saja, sumber traffic organik adalah search engine (tidak hanya Google, yang penting search engine). 

Jika mayoritas pengunjung berasal dari non-organic sources seperti iklan (iklan di web, Adwords, Facebook Ads, PTC, PTS, dll), mass email, traffic exchange, dan sejenisnya,  maka Google Adsense sudah pasti akan menolak. Kalopun diperbolehkan, misalnya menggunakan Adwords, anda harus mematuhi Landing Page Quality Guidelines. Pernah suatu kejadian, salah satu situs saya yang memang mayoritas traffic bergantung dari Facebook (meskipun itu melalui share/like), kemudian di banned oleh Adsense. 

d. Domain

Ada yang bilang domain berpengaruh. Bisa iya, bisa tidak. Telah ada banyak bukti subdomain blogspot di-approved. Tapi, memang custom domain jauh lebih mudah mendapatkan persetujuan Adsense, sebab custom domain dianggap memiliki kemandirian identitas (dimiliki oleh pihak/individu tertentu saja). Beda dengan blogspot.com yang merupakan milik Google dan digunakan oleh banyak pengguna Blogger di seluruh dunia. Jadi saya sangat menganjurkan penggunaan custom domain agar proses pendaftaran dan persetujuan mudah.

Mengenai usia domain, di Indonesia tidak berlaku. Saya pernah mendaftarkan domain berusia 1 bulan, 2 setengah bulan, dan yang terakhir adalah 4 bulan. Jadi tidak terbukti bahwa usia domain yang masih minim kemudian ditolak Adsense. Menurut saya faktornya adalah di konten. Memang di 2 negara lain (India dan China) Google telah menegaskan usia domain/website minimal harus 6 bulan, tapi tidak di Indonesia.

e. Hindari Anonimitas

Jangan pernah berusaha menyembunyikan identitas pemilik web atau penulis blog, atau identitas perusahaan jika akun yang didaftarkan adalah akun perusahaan. Situs yang anonim sudah jelas ditolak Google karena tidak memiliki keterkaitan akun dan penanggungjawab. Minimal gunakan Google Authorship untuk menunjukkan siapa penulis/pemilik. Penulis bisa siapa saja, tidak harus akun yang sama, tapi paling tidak menunjukkan siapa penanggungjawab blog/web tersebut atau setidaknya ada identitas di halaman about. Ini untuk menghindari kecurigaan Google pada situs MFA (made for Adsense, situs yang dibuat hanya untuk menayangkan Adsense).

Buat Blog Tanpa Memikirkan Adsense Dulu

Sebagai saran dan kesimpulan, seperti yang sudah saya bilang sebelumnya, hindari "Buat Blog untuk Adsense", tapi ikuti konsep "Buat Adsense untuk Blog". Keduanya jauh berbeda. Yang pertama hanya memiliki motivasi untuk menjadi publisher Adsense, yang kedua motivasinya adalah pada blog, menyuguhkan konten yang bagus, dan ketika blog sudah dipertimbangkan layak, baru blog didaftarkan. Motivasi ini selalu saya pegang, sehingga kadang-kadang ketika saya mendaftarkan sebuah blog/website, saya tidak menduga ternyata Adsense langsung menyetujuinya. Have a nice Blogging, as always!
